GERMANY
Technische Universitat Dortmund, Germany
The team consists of 4 researchers and deals with issues of experimental solid physics. The main interest lies in the field of optical spectroscopy, development and use of experimental methods in order to effectively study or manage semiconductor structures. The laboratory has the opportunity to achieve a temporary resolution in the femtosecond range, spectral resolution in the range of several nanoelectron-volts or data collection speed in the range of several gigabytes per second. The laboratory has modern equipment for the study of optical semiconductor materials.
SLOVENIA
Institut Josef Stefan, Slovenia
The Jožef Stefan Institute founded in 1949 is the leading Slovenian research organization. It is responsible for a broad spectrum of basic and applied research in the fields of natural sciences and technology. The staff of around 960 specializes in research in physics, chemistry and biochemistry, electronics and information science, nuclear technology, energy utilization and environmental science. The JSI operates the Slovenian Research Reactor – TRIGA Mark II. It is a 250 kW pool type research reactor mainly used for radiation hardness studies, testing of neutron and gamma detectors and training. The JSI poses small hot cell Lab where activated material can handled & investigated after irradiations.
